Even though the focus and highlights are all over the Electric Mustang Mach-E, Ford made a different plan by re-launching the traditional pony car with the latest styling and design.
The first is a new Stealth Edition based on the Mustang EcoBoost, an entry-level Mustang with an aesthetic upgrade.
The return of the California Special, based on the Mustang GT, is the other.
The Company will be introducing a new Stealth Edition option for the base four-cylinder EcoBoost Mustang later in the upcoming year 2022.
The engine remains the same as before, so the car’s 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-4 continues to produce 310 horsepower.
The GT with a V-8 will be introduced in the legendary California Special Edition Mustang version.
The Mustang GT Premium can be ordered with the California Special. The 5.0-liter V-8 engine of the automobile produces 460 horsepower.
The Stealth Edition gets the 19-inch wheels along with the back spoiler. It also includes clean taillights combined with the black trim for the side mirrors and badge.
It consists of Ice White Edition, revealed earlier, plus a distinct badge in its instrument cluster.
The price of the Stealth Edition has yet to be announced, but it comes as an option package offered on the EcoBoost Premium model.
This Edition will be available in colors like blue, grey, silver, or black exterior colors.
Talking about the latest version of GT/CS, it comes with stripes, a scoop on the back fender, an all-blacked grille, and badges.
Inside, there’s suede trim, and the GT Performance Package adds enhanced brakes, suspension modifications, a limited-slip differential, and a staggering 19-inch wheel and tire arrangement with Pirelli summer tires.
Under the hood, there’s a strut tower brace, a spoiler, and a spoiler deletion for the convertible.
According to Ford, Orders for the 2022 Mustang lineup will open later this year, with a vehicle coming in showrooms in the first quarter of next year, 2022.
The current sixth-generation Mustang, the S550, is projected to be the last for the 2022 model year, while a new S650 generation based on an updated version of the present car’s platform is planned to come in time for the 2023 model year.
